My name is Roberta and I joined the Ambourne House team in September 2019. I have been working in childcare for over 10 years. I decided to move to UK in 2011 to learn English, after I gained a BSc HONS Degree in Education. Initially I worked in London as a nanny for a bilingual family and then I moved to Bristol 6 years ago where I started to work in a nursery’s pre-school.
I really love spend time in every room of the nursery, playing and creating a bond with children of all ages. Knowing that we can make a difference in a child development is the part of my job that I love the most.
Aspirations
I would love to go back to university and progress my studies and knowledge especially concerning children with special needs.

My name is Sarah and I joined Ambourne House at the beginning of January 2020. I have been working in childcare for over 15 years and I love my job. During all these years I have been room leader and also Deputy Manager. I have a 17 year old daughter who I love spend time with.

I would love to have my own nursery one day.

I have been working at Ambourne since June 2018.
I enjoy researching new recipes and trying to produce very healthy meals for the children and staff to enjoy.
I have found out so much about dietary needs, and we pride ourselves at Ambourne House to meet all needs that children require. I am always looking to test and try out new dishes, if you have any favourite dishes that you think children would enjoy. I extend an invitation into my kitchen to show me!
In my spare time I enjoy gardening, looking after my grandchildren one of whom attended Ambourne 12 years ago. I also enjoy travelling the world especially the Mediterranean and reading.

I have worked in childcare for the past 6 years. Working with babies is something I have always been passionate about. I love helping them to learn and explore in these early stages of their lives.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.
I love exploring and visiting new places.

I have recently joined Ambourne House and I am a toddler room apprentice. In my previous role I was a healthcare assistant and received my level 2 health and social care.
In my free time I like to spend time with my niece and nephews, I love to take them on fun and exciting days out!

I would like to finish my level 3 childcare apprenticeship and hopefully go overseas to be an Au Pair or work as a camp councillor for a summer!

Hi, I am Kim Morgan. I joined the wonderful team at Ambourne House in May 2021 within the Preschool room.
I have a variety of experience working with children through teaching in Primary schools, as a Teaching Assistant running support programmes, and helping at a Rainbows group. I graduated from University of Wales, Newport with a degree in Primary Education with a specialism in Art.
I have a daughter who is just completing her early years journey, and raising her has definitely inspired a further love for the way children learn and develop during this crucial time.
Aspirations
In the future I aspire to learn British Sign Language, as I feel everyone should have the opportunity to be able to communicate and be understood. I would also love to further my qualifications with Play and Art Therapy.

Thankyou so much for all the support and kindness you have shown towards my son since his 1st day with you all. He has grown so much in confidence and in all his developments stages. Having him at Ambourne House was the best decision we both made. After visiting a few local settings, he was very certain he wanted to go to ‘the blue house’. It felt like a family environment and all the staff were so welcoming. I always felt at ease that he was very well looked after and safe.
So, Thankyou so much. my son will miss Pre-school very much and his dad said he was teary when he was on his way home. Although this is sad to see, it gives us reassurance that by these emotions he was very fond of everyone at preschool.

My son absolutely adores his days here! He comes home singing songs he's learnt, showing me the actions and always comes out the door with a beaming smile! I love how much he loves preschool.
Although it was initially difficult dropping off after the first lockdown, he loves going now and the updates at the door and regular tapestry updates really put me at ease as a parent to see what activities him and the other children are doing, especially as we can't see the full setting at present.

Ambourne House is such a lovely place. I feel so happy sending my children there. Every single member of staff seems genuinely passionate about the care they provide and our daughters, particularly our eldest, have flourished there. Everything they do from settling in, to the way they speak to children, to the activities they organise is excellently thought out. If I had to write down the perfect childcare environment for my children, this would be it. We are really appreciative of how the team have kept a real sense of normality at Ambourne House after lockdown.

Lovely nursery, my son has settled in quickly even though he only goes one day a week. Great garden which the children spend lots of time in and very caring staff. Also have events for all the family like a summer bbq which creates a nice community feel. - August 2022
