We have been providing high quality childcare at our nursery since 1991 and the emphasis has always been placed upon the security, happiness, education and individual needs of each child. We have now introduced the Montessori ethos and apparatus to our nursery. With our highly qualified staff and dedication to on-going training, we are proud to be a truly unique provider.

Our nursery provides a safe environment where children can explore, experiment, plan and make decisions for themselves. Our ethos has always been to promote a loving, caring and totally inclusive environment that nurtures children’s unique qualities and potential, thus empowering them to become lifelong learners.

We offer set full or part-time sessions for children aged 3 months to five years, although we try to be as flexible as possible to best meet the needs of your family.
The nursery opens at 7.30am and closes at 6.00pm. We open during school holidays; however, we close for Bank Holidays and have an extended break at Christmas, for which no fee is payable. We are permitted to take a small number of children up to 8 years of age, within our ratios, after school and during school holidays.
We offer a Breakfast Club that can be booked ad hoc, should it be needed.

Thankyou so much for all the support and kindness you have shown towards my son since his 1st day with you all. He has grown so much in confidence and in all his developments stages. Having him at Ambourne House was the best decision we both made. After visiting a few local settings, he was very certain he wanted to go to ‘the blue house’. It felt like a family environment and all the staff were so welcoming. I always felt at ease that he was very well looked after and safe.
So, Thankyou so much. my son will miss Pre-school very much and his dad said he was teary when he was on his way home. Although this is sad to see, it gives us reassurance that by these emotions he was very fond of everyone at preschool.

Ambourne House is such a lovely place. I feel so happy sending my children there. Every single member of staff seems genuinely passionate about the care they provide and our daughters, particularly our eldest, have flourished there. Everything they do from settling in, to the way they speak to children, to the activities they organise is excellently thought out. If I had to write down the perfect childcare environment for my children, this would be it. We are really appreciative of how the team have kept a real sense of normality at Ambourne House after lockdown.
